The Proper Volume began as a karaoke club concept during the Mask Era. The founders turned an unfinished basement in Columbus, Ohio, into an immersive karaoke speakeasy, paying attention to the acoustics, lighting, and presentation so the whole room felt part of the performance.
That experience grew into two connected parts of the same business: custom karaoke production for singers around the world, and live entertainment for people coming together.
Our mission is to give singers confidence, make every person at the microphone feel like a headliner, and build a community around the music. A backing track should feel good to sing. Lyrics should arrive when you need them. Sound, lighting, and a welcoming stage should support the people in the room.
