Because otherwise it's just too damn loud. Either that, or you can't hear shit.
You ever walk into a bar and find the music or the game blasting so loudly that you can't even hear the server ask what you'd like? You're trying to order a drink, not yell through a wind tunnel. Good sound isn't about maximum volume; it's about the right volume for the room and the moment.
The name took shape during the Mask Era, when lockdowns inspired the conversion of an unfinished basement into a little karaoke speakeasy. The Proper Volume made sense as the name of a club, and it still makes sense as the name of a production studio and a karaoke brand shared with singers around the world. Great sound. Good company. Volume with a purpose.
